All these may prove to be a daunting situation but with the right support system; we can get things back on track.
We are excited to share with you about our digital education system for colleges, students on campus and other organizations. It is a powerful program that deals with drugs, sexual assault, and alcohol abuse prevention. This unique package is called SOS Education, and it is run by Youthiasm®.
The Journey Begins…
SOS U is a dynamic course that is fully
designed to promote all forms of sexual assault awareness and prevention education in colleges and organizations; AND teach drug and alcohol abuse prevention courses and much more.
The program is designed to run in a very interactive format where students will learn what to do in order to be free from sexual violence and addiction. The course will help our students and others make informed decisions, stay safe and lead very meaningful lives.
Without any doubt, it is obvious that we are at the brink of salvaging the next generation or losing out in one of history’s most precious moments. The turn of the century presented so many opportunities, but it also thrust upon us the challenge of guiding current and next generations.
Based on our robust framework, here are some of the things that we do:
- Students will understand with our age appropriate education the definitions of sexual assault such as sexual harassment and how to prevent it.
- A faith-based version for people of faith.
- They will also walk away with an in depth understanding of the negative outcomes of drug and alcohol.
- Motivational teaching education to empower youth and adults to make wise decisions.
- Cognitive-behavioral lessons to show people why they act the way they do when it comes to consent and the meaning of consent and peer pressure.
- Reality check points that share the wisdom of knowledge.
- Campus safety tips and the latest apps that assist students while traveling on and near campus.
- They will learn about pop culture norms that are not always the best choices while addressing surrounding issues affecting students and so much more!
Sexual Assault on Campus
All forms of sexual assault are camouflaged in a 21st century highly sexualized society. Sexual violence is a serious public health and human rights problem with both short- and long-term consequences on women, men, girls and boys.
Consent is often one of the root causes on campus and where oftentimes lines are blurred.
Violators who are unfortunately, often male also have similar repercussions. Physical, mental, and sexual and reproductive health. Whether sexual violence occurs in the context of an intimate partnership, within the larger family or community structure, or times of various struggles, it is deeply painful and devastating to the victims, survivors and the generations in which it occurs.
This course is created to give participants the knowledge to empower themselves to build the kind of life they dream of when they enter college and in everyday life. It empowers them to critically think and problem solve the challenges that campus life, new friends and cultures can bring, while doing similar for everyone who takes the course. Our faith-based version is slightly different.
It is not a cliche that knowledge is power and in an ever changing world, most students are there to work to solve problems our world faces today, not create them for themselves and others.

Sexual Assault Defined
Everything you need to know about all forms of sexual assault, harassment and rape – What is it? Where does it take place? Who are the victims? Who are the perpetrators? And how does it impact our society today?
After completing Course One you will be a lot more informed on this issue and will be better equipped to prevent and recognize it for yourself or your peers.
Safety, Consent and Pop Culture
In this course you will learn how to stay safe and listen to your instincts – Seeking safe places on campus, learning what consent is and what it is not, how to detect sexual assault and how your brain will respond to it and its lasting impacts, and how “hook up” cultures amongst millennials can often create confusion about modern day relationships.
SOS University Sexual Assault and Drug and Alcohol Awareness
College students make up one of the largest groups of under reported sexual assault and drug abusers nationwide.
Young people (ages 18 to 24) are already at a heightened risk of sexual assault and addiction.
Those who are enrolled in a full-time college program are twice as likely to be exposed to sexual assault, it’s negative behavior and abuse, drugs and alcohol as those who do not attend college.
Starting out in college produces some natural social anxiety for many students. The temptation to be liked and drink is strong because college students overwhelmingly find that alcohol makes socializing easier. This inexperience can lead to negative sexual violence and blurred lines of consent. Not all college students immediately start binge drinking and doing drugs, but routinely drinking to have more fun leads many students toward negative behaviors and addiction.
Alcohol and Drugs in College
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever our wishes may be, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.
– John Adams
In this course, you will receive all the statistics and facts regarding substance abuse, and the probability you or someone you know may face with some of the challenges of poor decisions. You will learn about the power of choice, and some of the physiological aspects of dependency and abuse.
Alcohol and Drug Avoidance
In this course, you will learn tools to help you prevail against the statistics of substance abuse on campus. Beginning with Bonding and Connecting through a real life testimony, you will become empowered and learn that you have choices during your academic and life journey.
Why College Students Turn to Hook-up Culture and Drugs
The high rates where sexual assault can occur, and drug abuse take place among college students can be attributed to a number of factors, including:
- As students are facing the high demands of coursework, part-time jobs, internships, social obligations and more, many turn to drugs as a way to cope.
- Course load. More students than ever are taking stimulants, such as Adderall, to help them stay awake long enough to study or complete assignments by their due dates. All too often, these prescription drugs are obtained without a legitimate prescription.
- College students are exploring many new aspects of their lives in personal and professional realms. It is not uncommon for that self-exploration to dip into drug experimentation.
- Peer pressure. College students and others who are surrounded by other people experimenting with recreational & performance-enhancing drugs are more likely to try these substances for themselves.

If your institution participates in federal student aid programs it is subject to the Campus SaVE Act training requirements, and if it receives any federal financial assistance it is subject to Title IX training requirements.
Both of these federal laws require specific content, but generally you must offer training to your students, faculty, and staff on how to identify and report sexual misconduct, as well as primary and ongoing prevention and awareness programs to promote the awareness of rape, acquaintance rape, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Final regulations implementing the Campus SaVE Act were published on October 20, 2014, and go into effect on July 1, 2015. The OCR is also expected to provide a handbook with further guidance on complying with these new laws. In addition, the OCR issued a Q&A guidance document on April 29, 2014, which provides valuable information on Title IX training requirements for employees and students. We offer resources to address Title IX and Campus SaVE Act training requirements with effective learning tools
